Turkey’s parliament erupted into chaos Wednesday as lawmakers traded shoves and swings over President Erdogan’s controversial pick for justice minister. Opposition members tried to physically block newly appointed Akin Gurlek — the prosecutor who oversaw a crackdown on Erdogan’s top rival — from reaching the podium, sparking a full-blown floor brawl. Undeterred, Gurlek took his oath flanked by cheering allies as fists flew and tempers boiled in the chamber.
