• Interesting. I’ve always thought this was already law. Whenever I’ve opened new accounts I have to bring tons of ID and sign piles of government paperwork. I couldn’t even open an account in a state I did not live in when I was visiting for an extended period.  B
• My husband & I tried to open savings accounts for our grandchildren. Guess what the bank asked for? Original birth certificates & social security cards!! Not copies but originals. I know it’s to combat fraud but apparently that has been a form of policy for a while – Regina
