Previous administrations let sanctuary cities shield criminal aliens, but under current policy, ICE isn’t “targeting” non-criminals; they’re enforcing statutes that were ignored for years. The Self Deportation app streamlines voluntary departures, reducing detention costs. As for anchor babies, the 14th Amendment wasn’t designed to incentivize illegal immigration. Fixing birthright citizenship loopholes requires Congress, but until then, ICE focuses on removals. Merit-based reentry permits exist for those who leave voluntarily and apply legally. No amnesty.
