A serious car crash in 1961 put Mel Blanc in a coma for nearly three weeks. Finally a doctor asked him, “Bugs Bunny, how are you doing today?” and Blanc answered, “What’s up, doc?” Blanc tells a (milder) version of the story as a guest on Jack Benny's showpic.twitter.com/uZlELQme7F

- One moment that Mel Blanc did that I love was when he called Press Your Luck in character as Sylvester to correct them on a mistake when they incorrectly said that the answer to which character said “suffering succotash” was Daffy Duck. Mel Blanc is such a legend.
