- I wonder when this happened – I was getting a dozen spam calls a day to claim money I knew dam well was a scam – blocked every one of em and they kept coming from all over – now I’m wondering if this was part of their operation to get peoples bank info !? They have very recently stopped . – Kim D

It originates from Operation SIMCARTEL (Oct. 2025), in which the Latvian State Police (Valsts policija) dismantled a SIM farm with 1,200 boxes and 40,000 SIM cards that were used for 49 million fake accounts across Europe. - More likely than not those 7 people all worked for someone else – they were only the workers – someone set up the original deal, the property, the equipment, etc. then someone bankrolled it. I find it hard to believe these were the same ones there doing the grunt work – Linda W
