Trying To Trade 1 oz Gold Coin (worth $1800) for Worthless Random Stuff
Standing in front of a local coin shop, I asked people if they’ll trade my 1 oz Canadian maple leaf gold coin for random things they’re carrying, including a soda and some ice cream.
There’s only 1 precious metal, and it comes bored and chambered in your favorite caliber.
Gold takes a crappy edge, and makes a lousy shovel, and come real SHTF days you won’t be able to trade a mountain of Gold for a can of beans, or a gallon of water or gas. And it really sucks if you need to do any significant amount of swimming with it.
