The USS George H.W. Bush carrier has departed Virginia and is heading to the Middle East to assist the US and Israel in the Iranian conflict. This raises the amount of aircraft carriers in the region to three. The USS Abraham Lincoln remains deployed in the Middle East supporting US operations, while the USS Gerald R. Ford is in Crete undergoing repairs.
