- We completely lost control. Covid, immigration invasion, Ukraine, all of these spawned huge outlays of funds, much of it through NGO’s and programs, not well controlled, which spawned huge amounts of fraud. In addition, programs that should’ve been halted post Covid were not all killed. The labor participation rate is still lower than it was in 2019. If the Federal spending being measured here includes interest on our debt—that has grown due to higher rates and more debt. We need to clean all of this up and bring spending way down. (I am sure I missed other sources of unnecessary spending and needed spending growth, like military.) – Sarah D
