Kasta Tomb (or Amphipolis Tomb) in northern Greece—a massive 4th-century BC tumulus with sphinxes, caryatids, a Persephone mosaic, and a huge lion statue. It dates to the right era and is extraordinarily grand (larger than Philip II’s tomb at Vergina). However, it contains remains of multiple people (including a woman, men, and a child) and is not considered Alexander’s tomb. Historians agree his body went to Egypt. Experts speculate it may belong to someone close to him, like his mother Olympias, wife Roxana and son Alexander IV, or friend Hephaestion.
What Happened to the Tomb?By the late Roman/early Byzantine period, the tomb vanished amid:
- Repeated looting (including by Cleopatra for gold).
- Wars, riots, earthquakes, and a major tsunami around AD 365.
- Urban changes and possible submersion of parts of ancient Alexandria.
The last clear references fade after the 4th century AD (e.g., St. John Chrysostom noted in ~AD 400 that even locals didn’t know its location).
Alexander died in Babylon in June 323 BC (at age 32). His body was mummified and initially intended for burial in Macedonia (at Aegae, the traditional royal necropolis). However, his general Ptolemy I Soter hijacked the funeral cortege near Damascus and diverted it to Egypt to legitimize his rule.
- It was first buried temporarily in Memphis, Egypt (possibly in a repurposed temple of the last native pharaoh, Nectanebo II).
- Between roughly 298–283 BC (or around 280 BC under Ptolemy II Philadelphus), it was moved to Alexandria (the city Alexander founded), where it was reburied in a grand mausoleum.
Later, under Ptolemy IV Philopator (r. 221–204 BC), Alexander’s remains (along with those of earlier Ptolemies) were placed in a grand communal mausoleum called the Soma (or Sema, meaning “body” or “tomb”). This was likely in the royal palace district, at or near the intersection of the city’s main east-west (Canopic Way) and north-south roads—roughly in the area of modern intersections like El-Horeya and Nabi Daniel streets in central Alexandria.
The tomb became a major pilgrimage site and cult center. Roman emperors like Augustus visited it; some accounts say the original golden sarcophagus was later replaced with one of glass or alabaster after looting.

Whatfinger News, Trump & Science Fiction Fans…
New Book from Whatfinger’s Own: “Time’s Orphans” – A Must-Read for Every Patriot
Folks, if you’ve been with Whatfinger from the beginning — back when we were calling out the lies, fighting the woke mind virus, and standing up for truth while the mainstream media sold their souls — then I’ve got something special for you.
“Time’s Orphans” – Book 1 of the Medieval Future Series — written by our own Michael Anthony — just dropped on Amazon.
This isn’t some generic sci-fi novel. This is our story.
- Whatfinger crew members (Beth, Ben, Pat, and others) are on Elon Musk’s first Ark, carrying humanity’s last hope across the stars.
- Elon himself is in it — the man who actually built the damn thing.
- Trump gets the respect he deserves as the leader who fought for America when it mattered most.
- The crew makes the hard calls patriots understand: protecting the future, rejecting the lies of Big Pharma, and refusing to let the next generation be destroyed by the same evil we watched unfold on Earth.
The immortals on the Ark vote to hide the truth about resets so their children will actually have families and build something worth fighting for. They carry the weight of that decision across centuries… only to reach a new world full of dragons, ancient secrets, and the same old human struggles between freedom and tyranny.
It’s packed with everything we stand for:
- Unapologetic truth-telling
- Love of real America
- Rage against the machine that lied to us about the vax and everything else
- Hope that humanity can still build something great even after the fall
If you’ve ever wanted to see a story where the good guys are the ones who backed Trump, backed Musk, backed free speech, backed real science over corporate lies, and refused to bow to the globalist reset — this book is for you.
Time’s Orphans is the beginning of something big. A series that blends hard sci-fi with epic future history, written by one of our own.

Book II goes serious Game of Thrones style with even more politics, America love…. Surely will be destroyed by the Left in comments/reviews once we advertise the books. – Mike – CLICK HERE for Shadows Of The Ark
