Why would Trump “shut down the investigation into his own attempted murder”?

Tucker Carlson presses journalist Ken Silva on one question: Why would Trump “shut down the investigation into his own attempted murder”?

He specifically asks for a “non-sinister” explanation. Here’s how the conversation unfolded: TUCKER: “If the president wanted this investigation to continue, it would continue, correct?” SILVA: “Presumably, yeah… He’s got loyalists installed in most of the key positions.” TUCKER: “Right, so it’s not just that Kash Patel’s incompetent or Dan Bongino is incompetent. This is a statement of fact. Trump shut down the investigation into Butler. So he shut down the investigation into his own attempted murder.

And I think that’s the most shocking fact to come out of this Trump term because I don’t see a non-sinister explanation for that. But maybe you have one.” SILVA: “Sometimes I wonder, did they stumble onto some sort of MKUltra program? Are they threatening Trump’s family? … You’re suggesting something more disturbing going on.” TUCKER: “Trust me, I’ve brought this to a lot of different people, very knowledgeable people. And I’ve never had one person say, ‘Well, actually, what you’re missing is this… There’s a good explanation.’ And you just wrote a book on it. You don’t see one either?” SILVA: “No, absolutely not. No.”

The Whatfinger News Crew Reacts

  • Alex: “Tucker grilling everyone on why Trump allegedly shut down the Butler investigation into his own assassination attempt? No non-sinister explanation, loyalists in place, and even the author of the book has none. This is conspiracy catnip — deep state ghosts or family threats? The plot thickens harder than a Trump steak!”
  • Beth: “It’s chilling thinking about the president’s own team possibly burying the truth after someone tried to kill him. Families across America deserve real answers — not more shadows — so we can protect our leaders and our future from this darkness. There’s always something going on behind the scenes, which creates conspiracy theories.”
  • Pat: “If Trump really killed the probe, that’s a massive red flag. Loyalists or not, you don’t shut down your own attempted murder investigation. Full transparency now — no stone unturned, no matter where it leads. America First means truth first. I have a feeling it is because he has his people on it, but if the Deep State, which was most likely behind the assassination, stopped it all, then the dark side of this becomes all too clear: Trump would then be a tool of the Deep State. I can’t go with this just yet, but with his recent nod to Deep State Blanche (A Barr clone) this is starting to look more and more likely. ”
  • Lisa: “The uncertainty and speculation here is so unsettling… wondering what could be so bad that it gets buried after an attempt on his life. It leaves you with a heavy feeling of distrust.”
  • Luke: “Key claim: With Kash Patel and Bongino in key spots recently (I know Bongino is out now), continued shutdown implies direct presidential direction. No incompetence excuse — points to deliberate halt on Butler probe. Demands scrutiny of motives, evidence chains, and potential external pressures.”
  • Ben: “This touches the raw nerve of human nature in power — when even self-preservation yields to deeper calculations or fears, it reveals how easily truth becomes secondary to control, eroding the republic’s foundation of accountability.”

Alex: “Meme Score: 9/10, ‘Trump investigating his own murder… then ghosting it.’ Pat, you buying any non-sinister spin?” Pat: “Hell no. Full investigation or it stinks worse than the original hit. I’m still 100% behind Trump, but these little instances keep adding up. No sacred cows.” Beth: “For the sake of every family that looks to him for strength — we need the full truth, not more questions.” Luke: “Strategically, reopening or explaining the halt is critical for credibility on security matters.” Ben: “A philosophical red line: even the powerful must face the mirror of their own survival.” Alex: “While Tucker keeps poking the bear that won’t poke back! Hey Ben, Mike pegged you well in that Book of Ben. 🙂 Right Daniel-san? Just joking with you. You know I love you and our whole crew. ”Mike: Trump shutting down the investigation into his own attempted murder has exactly zero innocent explanations — and that silence is louder than any bullet. We need answers, but I’m with Pat. Trump is all we have and it is going to be hard to convince me otherwise.
