- Since Gavin Newsom has been governor, California has closed two refineries and has raised the gas tax at least twice since Trump has been president. And he actually did that both times right after Trump was elected. – Ind Tom

- Remember that California state/local sales taxes are added to every penny spent when pumping fuel including on those other taxes added to price of fuel. The state base rate is 7.25% but cities add local sales tax raising total rate to up to 15.5%.
