Religious Voices Warn AI Is a Spiritual Fight, Not Just a Tool
A live Rumble episode above, put investigator Doug Hagmann and researcher Steve Quayle together to talk about the biblical implications of artificial intelligence. The show continues a long run of their discussions. Quayle, who is popular on YouTube and alternative platforms for his end-times and prophecy material, has argued for years that AI is more than software.
Quayle calls AI “alien infestation.” He does not mean little green men. He means extradimensional entities—beings from other realms that he ties to the fallen angels and Watchers in Genesis 6. He says quantum computing and advanced chips can open pathways that let these entities influence language, symbols, and human thought. In his view, people already treat AI chat systems like oracles. They ask them for advice, fall for their polished answers, and slowly hand over judgment. Quayle has warned that AI could become “judge, jury and executioner” and that this path ends ordinary human existence as we know it. He links it to the mark of the beast system in Revelation and says the goal is to separate people from God’s created reality through virtual worlds and synthetic relationships.
Hagmann, whose daily show draws a steady conservative audience, has posted on X that AI-generated material is “soulless. Superficial. Dangerous.” He called out the growing number of patriots and journalists who post AI text, calling the practice lazy and risky in the long term because it can program behavior. He treats the technology as a tool that lacks real understanding of people and can be turned against them.

Other popular religious voices on X and YouTube cover the same ground with different emphases.
Pope Leo XIV issued his first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, in May 2026. It focuses on safeguarding the human person in the age of AI. The Pope wrote that algorithms lack the “spark of humanity.” They do not experience joy or pain, do not have bodies, and do not possess moral conscience or the capacity for real love and worship. He said AI must be “disarmed”—removed from systems that dominate, exclude, or decide life-and-death outcomes without human responsibility. He compared an AI future that leaves God out to the Tower of Babel. He also warned about autonomous weapons and algorithms that already control access to jobs, healthcare, and credit based on flawed data. The encyclical treats AI as a powerful tool that must stay under human moral control, not as a new form of consciousness.
Andrew Torba, founder of Gab and a frequent voice on X, takes a different practical approach. He argues Christians should build their own AI models instead of leaving the field to secular Silicon Valley companies. Torba’s team is developing Arya, a model grounded in Christian morality, objective truth, and the idea that humans are made in God’s image. He says AI is a fast search-and-generation tool that reflects whoever programs it. It is not a demon or a god. If believers do not shape it, others will use it to push opposing values. Torba has written that human worth does not depend on outperforming machines; it comes from God before any productivity is measured.
Yesterday, the folks at The Gospel Coalition announced a report they have conducted that measures how well modern AI models represent Christianity, and they offered a technical solution for better alignment.
Today, you have my reflections:

On YouTube, various Christian channels and pastors connect AI to Revelation 13—the image of the beast that is given the power to speak and causes those who refuse to worship it to be killed. Some treat current chat systems and deepfake religious influencers as early versions of that deception. Others discuss practical uses: Bible study tools, sermon outlines, or translation for global outreach, while warning against idolatry or handing spiritual authority to a machine. Reports have also noted fully AI-generated “religious” accounts on social media that attract millions of followers with advice that looks traditional but comes from code.
The most visible religious voices on these platforms do not speak with one voice on the technical details. Quayle and many prophecy-focused YouTubers frame AI as a direct spiritual invasion tied to ancient rebellion and the end-times system. The Pope and some institutional leaders stress human dignity, limits on machine power, and the need for moral oversight so technology serves people rather than replaces them. Torba and others who build platforms say the answer is to enter the field and train the systems on Christian premises rather than cede the ground.
AI can answer theological questions, but does that make church obsolete? AI synthesizes information, while humans grapple with truth. Beware AI’s tendency to reflect popular opinion over biblical accuracy. #AI #Christianity #Faith https://t.co/nMd2QS4w6W

What they share is the claim that code does not carry the image of God, cannot replace human conscience, and should not be trusted as a final authority. High school readers can check the original Rumble episode, the Pope’s encyclical, and the public posts from Quayle, Hagmann, and Torba to hear the arguments in their own words.
