CENTCOM forces are raining bombs on Iranian targets, U.S. assets are locked and loaded, and the Pentagon is preparing for strikes that could be “bigger than we’ve ever seen before.” The fragile pause in fighting is dead. On July 28, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched a surprise ballistic missile barrage at U.S. forces in Jordan, targeting the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base and CENTCOM facilities. Earlier in the campaign Trump openly weighed a “massive attack” on Iran “bigger than ever before,” saying he was close to a decision and that U.S. forces were set for it. That language tracks with the Watters segment’s reporting on Pentagon preparations for strikes on a scale larger than previous waves. Retired Gen. Jack Keane and others have long argued for sustained pressure — bombs away until the regime’s ability to project power is broken. The current operations continue to hit the IRGC’s ability to threaten the world’s most critical energy chokepoint.

Saudi Arabia is not sitting this out either.
