On March 10th the Kilauea volcano erupted towers of lava and ash in Hawaii. The lava towers reached a height of 1300 feet, with fountains rising on the north and south side of the volcano. The USGS raised a Volcano Alert level from watch to warning as ash clouds from the eruption rose to 30,000 feet into the air.
