With most people, but not everybody, eating the same 2500 calory diet with the following eating patterns, different things happen. 2500 split between 3 meals ish per day, balanced between carbs protein and fat, no weight gain. 2500c on a no-carb diet. You will lose weight. 2500 c, one meal per day, you will lose weight, more if it’s no carb. If you divide that same 2500c into 12 small meals of refined carbs you will gain weight.
It’s much more complicated than the number of calories you eat.
