- I worked sales for a door company in Sacramento in the late 70’s. Kaufman & Broad Homes (as it was called then) was the customer everyone wanted to land. They were building, affordable, single family tract homes in quantities of 200 to 350 units at a time year after year then. I was lucky enough to sell their Northern California Division on using us almost exclusively for many years. Their business earned a decent living for me and my family. This is sad news for California.
- What is funny to me that every company leaving has been mincing words in their press statements. It’s always about operating efficiency or some other excuse. None has said: “This state is hostile to business and we can no longer exist here and make a profit.” – B
