- If you read about the history of public education, then you know that producing indoctrinated children is precisely what it was designed to do. It came out of the Franco Prussian war when Napoleon’s peasant army whipped the Prussian army of professional soldiers. The King of Prussia commissioned studies to find out how this was possible and it was determined that French soldiers took orders without question and the reason for this was Napoleon’s state funded educational programs. After this conclusion, Prussia began their own public educational system and the rest is history. – Halo
- In RI, schools consume 70% of local tax dollars. School Committees rule the roost. They’re guaranteed level funding year after year even if enrollment drops. If they don’t approve of the yearly school fund increase allocated by the Town Council, the School Committees can – and always do – sue the Town Council. You read that right – the School Committees can legally sue the taxpayers for more tax dollars. It inevitably goes to mediation. They settle in the middle. The Teachers unions always move their ball forward. And no, despite their endless claims to the contrary, the money never goes to “the children.” It’s called the Carullo Act and it’s one of the biggest scams in public education. – Coco
