You had better start understanding that NY City is done. Soon there won’t be much private property, with the city either taxing private property owners or landlords out of existence or outright taking the property under their version of eminent domain. First the city will come for the landlords, then they will raise astronomical real estate taxes on condominium and coop apartment owners, forcing them to sell (assuming they still can, since no one will want to buy their apartments).
