The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a second, more urgent warning regarding a “rapid and continuous” buildup of U.S. military forces in the Middle East, suggesting Washington is transitioning from deterrence to direct intervention. According to Moscow, the deployment of approximately 50,000 personnel—including elite units from the 82nd Airborne Division and Delta Force—combined with the arrival of the USS George H.W. Bush carrier strike group, indicates a state of operational readiness. Russian officials noted that the surge aligns precisely with the expiration of a two-week ceasefire window, raising fears that a massive strike program is imminent. While the Pentagon maintains its presence is intended to stabilize the region, Tehran-linked sources have amplified Moscow’s alarms, characterizing the naval and aerial surge as a definitive “pre-war preparation” that threatens to ignite a wider regional conflict.
