REPORT: Russia will annex four occupied Ukrainian regions at a ceremony hosted by Vladimir Putin on Friday, Kremlin spokesman says.  More below this top clip…

  • With Russia now attempting to forcefully annex territory from another country it amazes me how anyone who supports them can even pretend to call themselves an anti-imperialist at this point. Like who are they even fooling other than themselves?
  • NEW: Sens Blumenthal + Graham are unveiling legislation to cut off economic + military assistance to any country that recognizes Russia’s efforts to annex parts of Ukraine. “More than just words are required,” Blumenthal says.
  • Not only does Russia not fully occupy any of the areas it is looking to “annex” (Zaporizhzhia’s provincial capital is under Ukrainian administration), it is daily losing ground to Ukraine in Donetsk and Kherson.
