Let’s expose who the authors are, who the publishers are, who is authorizing this in the schools, and yes, any school that allows this, can be sued on numerous grounds….
This has to be opened in the face of the principal and board. My dad did this back in the 1990s with a Magic Johnson book for 5th graders that mentioned this stuff you mentioned and worse. The teacher apologized; I don’t know if she read the book well herself.
If a parent/concerned adult reads the book pages aloud at a School Board meeting then the adult reading will be reprimanded, have their microphone cut off, and risk being removed or even arrested at the School Board meeting. Inappropriate for Board Members, but approved for kids

This book is in Readington NJ Middle school, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, it was challenged and still remains there Why are Democrats and Liberals so obsessed with books with graphic content in it!?
